Rearticulating Your Christian Name?

The word "name" in the Hebrew language more fully means characteristic or attribute and is used as a title or description, not simply an identifier.
So to take upon yourself Christ's name is to take upon yourself His character and attributes, to embody His values and become a living manifestation of God to the world. To take God's name in vain is represent Him in a false manner, and to protect His good name is to properly represent Him.
Rearticulating your Christian name to the world does not distinguish us as part of God's family. Doing what Jesus did, loving and serving the least of these, is what separates us from the goats and wolves as sheep to the Good Shepherd, Jesus.
There are those who sit in high places contemplating how to protect their good Christian name to the public while professing it to the nations. They end up doing more to drive others away from Christ because of their false representation of God. Then are those, like Sam Young, who actually have the name of Christ written upon them because they embody God's attributes and characteristics. They are the ones truely protecting the Good name of Jesus Christ.
Excuse the wine stains on my scriptures
