I'm here in New York and I see so many rainbows flags everywhere!! So with this big step in our nation I thought I might share some thoughts...

The First Amendment protects our freedom of religion and is designed to keep religion and state separate. All people should be allowed to worship and exercise their faith according to the dictates of their own conscience so long as it doesn't violate the rights of others to do the same. If a homosexual wants to commit to another homosexual in a life long partnership, and preform their own marriage ceremony in their own faith, that is their right. But it is straight up unconstitutional for the government to force Christian based firms, hospitals, schools, and churches to allow or accept practices that are against their religious beliefs within their various organizations and institutions. Marriage should be a religious institution, and not a government institution. God has defined marriage. The government or majority of people in a society can not change that definition no matter how hard they believe they have. God does not change to the philosophies and ideas of society and government because He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrew 13:8) He established the law and plan before the foundation of the world and man can not change those established eternal truths. (1st Nephi 10:18) God is a God of Justice and he will judge all fairly.(Alma 42:22-26) But He is also a God of mercy and provides a way for even the lowest of sinners to become perfected through Jesus Christ. (Moroni 10:32-33)
